Memorial Set Up At Santa Rosa Climbing Gym For Climber Killed In Yosemite

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- A memorial was set up to remember the Bay Area man killed in a climbing accident in Yosemite National Park Saturday.

Brad Parker was described as a veteran climber by his friends at Vertex climbing gym in Santa Rosa, where a memorial table was set up in his honor.

Parker fell while climbing without ropes on Matthes Crest in the park Saturday, according to witnesses.

Parker's girlfriend Jainee had accepted his marriage proposal earlier on the day of the accident.

"Her whole life has changed so dramatically in just a moment," friend Sarah McKay said.

The family planned to spread his ashes in the park.
