Mayor Lee Proposes To Put Digital Advertising On SF City Hall
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco's City Hall could become a advertising billboard if Mayor Ed Lee has his way.
The mayor has proposed to allow digital light displays on the east side of City Hall where corporations and event planners could advertise.
The plan would bring in revenue to the city.
Cities around the world are already using the technology on landmarks, like the Empire State Building in New York.
Critics say the plan would send a message that San Francisco City Hall is for sale.
