Manhunt For 6 Masked Gunmen After Halloween Heist At Brentwood Bank

BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) -- Police were looking for a group of masked men who robbed a bank in Brentwood Saturday morning.

Police responded to Bank of the West at 4540 Balfour Rd., at 10:42 a.m. and confirmed that the branch had been robbed.

Investigators say that four to six men entered the bank wearing masks and other clothing as a disguise, jumped the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Sources said it was less than $10,000.

At least one of the suspects was seen with a firearm, according to police.

The suspects fled in a silver 4-door SUV that was parked outside. That vehicle was found two blocks away from the bank in the vicinity of Lexington Drive. It was later determined to have been reported stolen out of Antioch.

The bank robbers may have also been spotted exiting a blue Chevrolet Camaro and climbing into a white SUV in that area, police said.

According to East County Today the getaway car was a Hyundai Santa Fe stolen from Antioch. The suspects ditched it two blocks from the bank.

Anyone with additional information about the robbery is asked to contact Detective B. Lodge at (925) 809-7748
