Manhole Cover Blown Off PG&E Vault In SF's Financial District

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A manhole cover blew off a PG&E vault in San Francisco's Financial District Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.

The explosion was reported in the area of 350 Bush St. shortly before 8:30 a.m., according to the fire department.

Smoke was visible initially but no fire was seen and no injuries have been reported.

PG&E was on scene shortly before 9:15 a.m. While there were some traffic delays in the area, PG&E and San Francisco Fire Department crews were clearing the scene by shortly after 10:30 a.m.
