Man who died in Sonoma County after being swept by wave identified
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office identified the man who died after being swept into the ocean by a wave on Sunday.
He was identified as 43-year-old Shanglong Tang of Sacramento.
Tang and another man were fishing at Gerstle Cove in Sonoma County on Sunday when a wave knocked him into the ocean.
The sheriff's office said Tang was standing on the rocks near the water when he was swept. His fishing partner was not injured and was rescued by crews from the rocks.
Tang was found in the water but was pronounced deceased.
