Man Suspected Of Killing His Father In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- There's a warrant out for the arrest of a man suspected of killing his father in San Jose, police said Wednesday evening.

Family members reported 54-year-old Evgeniy Zhukov missing just before 9 p.m. on New Year's Day.

Then on Monday investigators with the San Jose Police Department received information implicating Zhukov's 30-year-old son, Maxim Zhukov, in his father's disappearance.

Police in Richmond found the victim deceased in his car.  Investigators believe the crime scene may have been the elder Zhukov's residence in the 6600 block of Neptune Court, in San Jose.

San Jose police took over the case Tuesday. They say there's an active arrest warrant out for Maxim Zhukov, but his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Anyone with additional information about the case is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Rick Yu or Detective Wayne Smith in the homicide unit at (408) 277-5283.
