Man Stabbed To Death During Quinceanera Celebration In Morgan Hill

MORGAN HILL (CBS SF) -- A man was fatally stabbed during a quinceanera celebration in unincorporated Morgan Hill over the weekend, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Deputies responded to a report of a fight at a young woman's 15th birthday party around 11:15 p.m. Saturday off of San Bruno Avenue, where they found a man in his early 30s suffering from multiple stab wounds, sheriff's Sgt. James Jensen said.

Firefighters and paramedics responded but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Jensen said.

Investigators were able to identify, locate and arrest the suspect, who was partially identified as a man in his mid-30s, according to Jensen.

Deputies found a knife used in the stabbing, the spokesman said.

The names of the suspect and victim were not immediately available Tuesday.
