Man Robbed After Mistaking Suspect's Car For Taxi In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was robbed in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood early Wednesday morning after he got into a vehicle that he mistook for a taxi, police said.

The victim, a 49-year-old man, was looking for a cab around 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of O'Farrell Street when he got into a vehicle that he mistook for a cab, police said.

Two suspects, a man and a woman, got out of the vehicle and took the victim's property, including a bag, phone, wallet, cash and electronic tablet, police said.

The suspects then fled in an unknown direction, and had not been arrested as of this morning, according to police.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.
