Man Plunges 100 Feet To His Death From Cliff Near Sutro Baths

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was killed after falling 100 feet off a cliff into the rough water below.

It happened Saturday around 4:30 near Sutro Baths.

The surf was so dangerous firefighters had to call in the Coast Guard to help with the rescue.

The man was later pronounced dead.

Firefighters were able to rescue the victim's friend after she became stranded on the cliff.

She was not injured.
