Man Hurt In Antioch Shooting

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A 28-year-old Oakley man was injured in a shooting Sunday night in a residential Antioch neighborhood, police said.

The victim, whose identity is not being released, told investigators he was walking near the intersection of Dogwood and Mahogany ways just after 11 p.m. on Sunday when an unknown male shot him, police said.

The victim told police he did not know why the suspect had shot him.

The victim suffered injuries not considered life-threatening and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are still investigating the incident and have not yet released suspect information.
