Man found dead in Fairfield, homicide investigation underway
FAIRFIELD – A death investigation is underway in Fairfield for what police are saying is the first homicide in the city in 2025.
Police said they responded to the 2300 block of El Rancho Way around 7:15 a.m. Saturday where they found a male who appeared to be shot. They say he was found lying on the road.
Detectives are currently investigating the man's death. He has not been identified.
Fairfield police said this was the first homicide of the year. The city saw two last year, which were both solved.
No suspect information was provided.
