A park visitor found the body of the man in his 50s at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday at Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach, park district spokeswoman Carolyn Jones said.

Emergency crews responded there and pronounced him dead at the scene. Investigators determined this morning that the man had died by suicide.
