Man Fleeing Vacaville DUI Checkpoint Arrested For Felony Firearms Violation

VACAVILLE (CBS SF) -- Police arrested a 27-year-old man who was wanted for felony firearms violation after he fled from a DUI checkpoint Friday night in Vacaville.

After the suspect fled from the checkpoint, police deployed several units and a helicopter to the 3000 block of Harbison Drive, police said around 8:50 p.m.

Police had asked the public to be on the lookout for the suspect, who was identified as Demetrius Wilson.

A short while later, officers located Wilson hiding at a nearby apartment complex in the 3500 block of Harbison Drive, according to police.

Officer took him into custody and arrested him for the felony warrant.
