Man Dies After Early-Morning Stabbing In Downtown San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating a homicide after a man who was found suffering from a stab wound in downtown San Jose early Sunday morning died, according to police.

Around 1:46 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of South Second and Martha streets after receiving a report that someone had been stabbed, police said.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from at least one stab wound, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.

Police have not identified a suspect or motive for the stabbing.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

The death is the city's 28th homicide this year, according to police.
