Man Dies After Being Shot In San Francisco's Tenderloin

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police said a man died in a shooting Monday afternoon in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood.

Officers were dispatched at 2:53 p.m. to the area of Market and Jones streets after someone called to report a shooting. Officers arrived and found a man with an apparent bullet wound.

Police said the man was taken to a hospital where he died. The man's name is not being released yet.

Anyone with information about the shooting is being asked to call the San Francisco Police Department's tip line at (415) 575-4444. Tipsters have the option of remaining anonymous.
