Man Dead After Crashing Car Into Power Pole In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Crews are working to clear the scene of a Tuesday night fatal crash involving a vehicle that crashed into a PG&E power pole in San Jose.

Police said eastbound Yerba Buena Road will be closed at Chisin Street until 1 p.m. today due to a downed power pole.

Officers responded just before midnight to a report of a single-vehicle crash that occurred in the 2100 block of Yerba Buena Road.

Police said the vehicle crashed into a power pole, and a man was killed in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
