Man Beaten With Guitar At North Concord/Martinez BART Station

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- Police are attempting to locate a suspect who beat a man with a guitar at the North Concord/Martinez BART station on Wednesday evening, a BART police lieutenant said.

Around 6:45 p.m., the suspect struck the victim multiple times with a guitar, inflicting facial and head injuries, according to BART police Lt. Mike Hayes.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment and later released.

Hayes said the suspect, who is known to the victim, remained at large as of Thursday evening.

The incident remains under investigation.
