Magnitude 3.9 Quake Strikes Near Morgan Hill

MENLO PARK (CBS SF) -- A small earthquake jolted the South Bay region late New Year Day, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The temblor struck at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday registered a magnitude of 3.9 and was centered 5.5 miles northeast of Morgan Hill at a depth of 3.7 miles.

There were no reports of damage as of 11:30 p.m.
