Magnitude 2.3 Earthquake Rattles Contra Costa County

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (CBS SF) -- A small earthquake with a magnitude of 2.3 struck in Contra Costa County Tuesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor was reported at 2:02 p.m. about two miles north of Pittsburg and roughly 4 miles northwest of Antioch.

The quake had a depth of about 10 miles, according to the USGS.

There have been no reports of any damage or injuries.
