Magnitude 2.2 Earthquake Hits East Of San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - A small earthquake struck San Jose just after 12:30 p.m. Monday.
The quake, with a magnitude of 2.2, hit nine miles east of San Jose and 11 miles southeast of Milpitas.
The quake was recorded at a shallow depth of seven kilometers, which makes it more likely that it was widely felt.
Monica Marquez Dahl felt the shaking.
She told CBS SF, "I felt the house shake a bit, but it is so windy here, I thought it was just the wind!."
