Macworld Lays Off Staff; Closes Print Publication
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Boston-based International Data Group (IDG) has announced shutting down print operations for Macworld Magazine. The San Francisco-based magazine will publish online-only with a reduced staff, according to USA Today.
Macworld Editor Dan Miller tweeted "I am personally here for another month to assist with the transition,"

The amount of staffers laid-off was not disclosed, however Jason Snell, senior vice president of an IDG unit that operates the magazine, IDG Consumer & SMB, also confirmed his departure.
The future of the annual MacWorld convention is not yet known.
