Life-Sized 'Where's Waldo?' Game Gets Children's Hospital Patients Out Of Bed In Oakland
The workers are building a new six-story outpatient building right next door to where the children
"Something changes every day for the kids that can see out the window, and can see the development out there. So, it's become a game for the hospital kids that can look out the window and see where Waldo is every day," Doug Nelson, who oversees construction for the hospital told KCBS.
Nurse Mary Ann Olsen says it's a welcome diversion that makes all the difference for the hospitalized kids.
"Usually, these kids will just stay in bed as long as you let them. They're getting out of bed, and going to the window and looking for Waldo. It's so amazing," Olsen said.
