Colbert Says Apple CEO Tim Cook Will Appear On 'Late Show' Next Week

CUPERTINO (CBS SF) – Apple CEO Tim Cook will be the latest tech executive to appear on the new "Late Show With Stephen Colbert," according to a tweet from the host Friday.

Colbert posted a picture of himself using Siri on his Apple Watch, setting up an appointment for Cook on Tuesday.

In his first week on the air, the new host of the Late Show has already interviewed two major Silicon Valley executives. Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk appeared on Wednesday night's broadcast.

On Thursday night's show, Colbert interviewed Travis Kalanick, the CEO of ridesharing giant Uber. Kalanick was reportedly heckled by a member of the audience during the interview. The incident did not make air.

Earlier this week, Cook unveiled several new Apple products, including the latest iPhones, a large-screen iPad called the iPad Pro and a new edition of Apple TV.

The Late Show airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on KPIX 5.
