Late For Work? Blame Your Disabled iPhone Alarm

(CBS SF) -- Many iPhone users had a rude awakening this week when their usually reliable alarm clocks never sounded off.

AppleInsider reports Apple's latest overnight iOS 9.1 update feature accidentally disabled alarm clocks, causing many to oversleep.

This particular glitch happened to those who decided to use Apple's seemingly convenient automatic updates that installs the latest iOS version while you sleep.

All was not well when some of those users woke up to find out they were late to work or school. Many took to Twitter to express their frustration, including Pixies lead guitarist Joey Santiago.

Apparently it wasn't the first time iOS has had alarm issue. In 2010, a Daylight Savings Time issue caused repeating alarm clocks to go off late in Europe.
