Labor Day Weekend Weather Starts With Coolest Morning In Months

(CBS SF) -- Some parts of the North Bay saw temperatures dip to the mid-40s Friday morning -- the coolest it's been in months.

Temperatures in the Tri-Valley sank to 54 degrees, down from 63 degrees on Thursday morning.

Friday will start as a mild breezy day around the Bay Area as an low pressure to the north is pulling cooler air mass from Canada.

But the chilly weather won't be sticking around for long.

There's a deck of low clouds at the San Mateo coast. High pressure is expected to filter in Friday with clearer conditions.

We'll see temperatures rebounding this Labor Day weekend to temperatures in the high-70s to low-80s around the Bay Area.

Labor Day is expected to bring wall to wall sunshine from the Pleasanton to the coast with warm temperatures across the board.
