La Boulange Founder Says Bakery Opening Under New Name

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- La Boulange lovers can rejoice in the news that six of the bakery's former locations will reopen under a new name, run by founder Pascal Rigo.

Rigo told Inside Scoop that if everything goes as planned, the original location on Pine Street in Pacific Heights will open next Thursday.

The bakery will open under the name La Boulangerie de San Francisco, after Starbucks bought the chain and its recipes from Rigo in 2012.

Starbucks closed all 23 La Boulange locations earlier this year.
