East Bay Woman Charged With Stalking Kris Jenner

NEWARK (CBS / AP) -- Federal prosecutors say they have charged a Bay Area woman with stalking and hacking charges over electronic harassment of Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner.

Authorities say they arrested Christina Elizabeth Bankston of Newark on Thursday on 15 counts related to hacking one of Jenner's online accounts, impersonating her former spouse, Caitlyn Jenner, and sending her illicit and threatening text messages.

Bankston is due to make an initial court appearance Friday.

The 36-year-old nurse's assistant was indicted by a grand jury in Los Angeles. Prosecutors say she harassed Jenner and her family between March and September 2014. Prosecutors also allege she impersonated Kris Jenner to authorities to get them to respond to a false emergency at her home.

It was unclear whether Bankston had an attorney.
