KPIX 5 Video May Show 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick's Inappropriate Language At Bears Player

SANTA CLARA (KPIX 5) -- The National Football League has penalized 49ers quarterback Colin Kapernick during Sunday's game for using inappropriate language to a Chicago Bears player. Video shot by a KPIX 5 photographer may have caught the exchange that prompted the fine.

The video showed Kaepernick saying something to Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston within earshot of the referee.

After Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Bears at Levi's Stadium, Kaepernick told reporters, "I didn't say anything."

Kaepernick received an $11,000 fine, which he plans to appeal.

On Wednesday, the quarterback reiterated that he did not say anything that would warrant a fine. "The player that I supposedly said something to has been quoted saying that I didn't say anything and I don't know him, so it's not like had a reason to just randomly stick up for me," he said.

When asked about the rule, Kaepernick said, "I'm not speaking on that or I'll get another fine."
