Kohl's Closing 9 California Stores Including San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Kohl's Department Stores will be closing their San Jose store on McKee Road in mid-June.
The move is part of a plan to shutter 18 underperforming stores, including nine in California. Other closures are in North Carolina, Illinois, Georgia and Florida.
The Wisconsin-based retailer said the closures will impact some 1,440 to 1,800 workers who will be offered the option of work at other Khol's nearby, or a severance package.
