Johnny Depp Injured While Filming 'Pirates' Sequel

Johnny Depp is no stranger to injuring himself on set—while filming The Lone Ranger, he nearly got trampled by a horse—but the actor's latest incident happened off set.

While in Australia to shoot Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the actor reportedly injured himself to the extent that he had to fly back to the United States for surgery, Variety reports.

While the cause is not yet known, it is apparently not severe enough to cause the film's July 7, 2017, release date to be pushed back—which was already delayed from the initial 2015 release set by Disney.
