Joey Martin Feek Has Lost Her Battle With Cancer

(RADIO.COM) – Joey Martin Feek, of the country duo Joey+Rory, has died. Feek had been battling cancer for nearly two years. She was 40 years old.

In October Joey's cancer took a turn for the worse and she made the decision to stop treatment and return home.

Rory, her husband and partner in music, documented Joey's illness through a series of posts on their blog "This Life I Live".

At the 2016 Grammys, the duo was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Joey encouraged Rory to attend the awards show, but said "I can't leave her. I won't."
