Jet With Mechanical Problems Makes Emergency Landing At San Jose Airport

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A corporate jet with mechanical problems made an emergency landing at the Mineta San Jose International Airport Tuesday afternoon, an airport spokeswoman said.

The pilot declared an emergency but managed to land safely at 2:51 p.m., airport spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes said.

Barnes said she did not immediately know the nature of the mechanical difficulties or how many people were on board the aircraft.
