Jared Leto of '30 Seconds To Mars' To Co-Headline Concord Pavilion Show

CONCORD (CBS SF) - Fresh from his Academy Award win for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in "Dallas Buyers Club" Jared Leto returns to his other love, music.

Live Nation has announced Leto and his band "Thirty Seconds To Mars" is scheduled to perform in the Bay Area this Fall. Leto's band also features guitarist Tomo Milicevic and Leto's brother Shannon, who Jared thanked during his speech at the Academy Awards.

During a January interview with CBS News, Leto said in the past year, the band has played its biggest shows ever. "I think it's an amazing thing because you have the opportunity to continue making art -- making music, sharing that with people on tour," Leto said. "I suppose every time you make an album or go onstage you are sharing a piece of yourself, sharing a piece of your work. It's the thing about music that's really special -- it's a community-oriented experience. It's a really social experience and that's a nice thing."

Alongside Thirty Seconds To Mars, Linkin Park and AFI co-headline the "Carnivores Tour" on Friday, September 19 at the Concord Pavilion in Concord. Tickets go on pre-sale Thursday, March 6 at 10:00am through Friday, March 7. You can find the pre-sale code & more at RadioAlice.com.
