Jack Del Rio Signs 4-Year Deal To Be Next Head Coach Of The Oakland Raiders

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – The Oakland Raiders have officially named Jack Del Rio head coach.

According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Del Rio signed the four-year deal on Wednesday afternoon. Terms have not been disclosed.

Del Rio was interviewed for a second time Tuesday night. Raiders owner Mark Davis, general manager Reggie McKenzie, and former Hall of Fame coach John Madden sat in on the lengthy interview.

Del Rio grew up in the Bay Area and has previous head coaching experience in the NFL. He coached the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2003 to 2011, twice leading the team to the playoffs.

He had spent the previous three years as defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos.  An official announcement is expected sometime Wednesday afternoon.
