Intense Blaze Destroys Vacant Mill Valley Home
MILL VALLEY (CBS SF) – An intense fire raced through a vacant Mill Valley home nestled in a heavily wooded neighborhood in the shadows of Mt Tamalpais Monday, destroying the structure before firefighters were able to get it under control.
Multiple agencies were called in to fight the blaze in the 1200 block of Waterview Dr. at around 11:15 a.m. and prevent it from spreading to the woods and nearby homes.
Before it was brought under control, firefighters from Southern Marin Fire, Mill Valley Fire, Marin County Fire, Corte Madera Fire and Larkspur Fire had arrived to battle the towering flames.
There were no injuries reported and the home was vacant at the time of the fire.
The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
