Human Remains Found In Gilroy Woods

GILROY (CBS SF) -- Human remains were found in the woods in Gilroy on Wednesday.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is assisting Gilroy Police after human remains were found in a wooded area in the vicinity of Gavilan College Wednesday.

Crime scene investigators remained at the scene Wednesday night.

Santa Clara County sheriff's Sgt. James Jensen said he did not know how long the human remains may have been out there.

Law enforcement authorities have not said who discovered the remains or have they released the identity of the deceased person.
