'Hot Convict' Sentenced To 27 Months In Prison For Gun Charge

STOCKTON (CBS SF) - The internet sensation known as the "hot felon," "hot convict" or just "hot mugshot guy" will be on ice for the next two years.

Jeremy Meeks gained national fame in June of last year when a mugshot photo posted on Stockton PD's Facebook page went viral. The photo even earned Meeks a modeling contract with a Santa Monica-based agency.

On Thursday, Meeks was convicted of one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to CBS Sacramento. He was then given a 27-month prison sentence, according to the U.S. Attorney handling the case.

Further, the judge also ordered Meeks to participate in the 500-Hour Bureau of Prisons Substance Abuse Treatment Program.
