Big-Rig, SUV Overturn On Highway 101 In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – Two lanes have reopened on U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose where a UPS big-rig and SUV collided early Thursday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The collision was reported on southbound Highway 101 just north of East Brokaw Road around 4:15 a.m., according to the CHP.

Three tow trucks and an ambulance were called to the scene. The SUV overturned into a small ditch, CHP officials said.

At least one person was transported to a hospital, according to the CHP.

CHP officials issued a Sig-alert at 4:34 a.m. because of two lanes that were blocked until shortly before 10 a.m., according to the CHP.
