Here's how strong wind gusts were in the Bay Area from Sunday's powerful storm

Team Coverage: Outages across Bay Area as major storm leaves behind wind damage

The National Weather Service reported some of the highest wind speeds late Sunday produced by the atmospheric river storm that caused damage across the Bay Area.

According to the NWS, as of around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, wind gusts in the region were highest in the coastal mountains of Marin and Santa Clara counties, reaching speeds as high as 102 mph. The National Weather Service noted that the measurements were still unofficial at the time of the post.

  • Road to Ranches in Marin County: 99 mph
  • Loma Prieta in Santa Clara County: 98 mph
  • KNPT Towers in Santa Clara County:  97 mph
  • Pine Mountain Fire Rd. in Marin County: 96 mph
  • Soda Springs Rd. in Santa Clara County: 96 mph
  • Gunsight Fire Rd. in Marin County: 96 mph 
  • Cobb Ridge West Fire Rd. in Marin County: 95 mph
  • Point Reyes in Marin County: 89 mph 
  • Lucas Valley in Marin County: 89 mph

The NWS Bay Area X account posted more unofficial numbers late Monday morning.

While the strongest winds have passed as of Monday morning, there will be lingering showers throughout the day. 

The Bay Area is cleaning up after the powerful storm after high winds caused widespread power outages, with classes canceled at nearly two dozen schools in Sonoma County and damage caused by falling trees across San Francisco.
