Former Monterey Hell's Angels Leader Admits Helping Traffic Meth In New York

MONTEREY (KCBS) -- A former Monterey Hell's Angels leader has admitted taking part in a methamphetamine trafficking operation in New York.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Richard Mar was president of the Monterey Hell's Angels chapter when he supplied large quantities of meth to the chapter in Rochester, New York from 2002 through 2010.

Mar pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges and will be sentenced in June.

He is among several people charged in 2012 as part of an investigation into drug trafficking and other crimes involving the Rochester and Monterey Hells Angels groups.
