Heads Of Skinned Boars Found Outside Berkeley Vegetarian Restaurants

BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- The heads and skins of two boars were found near two Berkeley vegetarian restaurants Monday and Tuesday.

Twitter user Anna Abramson tweeted a picture of one of the heads atop a garbage can near the intersection of Adeline and Emerson, near Flaco's vegetarian restaurant Monday.

Another boar's head was discovered Tuesday on Shattuck Avenue near Haste street across from Herbivore, a vegan restaurant.

"It was completely lifelike. It had almost a wet-looking snout. It really just looked like a wild animal that you would expect to see in the wild," Abramson said.

Berkeley police responded and cleaned up the gruesome scenes.  It was unclear if the restaurants were targeted by the incidents.
