UPDATE: Hazmat Situation Resolved In Berkeley, Gilman St. Reopens

BERKELEY (BCN) -- Berkeley police said a response to a possible hazardous materials incident on Gilman Street Tuesday morning is now terminated.

Police had issued an advisory at 6:07 a.m. about the response that shut down Gilman between Neilson and Hopkins streets.

The Police Department did not elaborate on the nature of the possible hazardous materials, but said at about 6:45 a.m. that the response was no longer ongoing and Gilman Street had reopened to traffic.
