Hazmat Incident Cleared At San Jose Google Office
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- San Jose firefighters have canceled a hazardous material evacuation at a Google office building Tuesday morning after crews found no dangerous materials during a search.
Firefighters responded to the incident at 75 E. Trimble Road at about 9:50 a.m. and were able to let people back into the building by about 10:30 a.m., according to San Jose fire spokesman Capt. Mitch Matlow.
"Fifteen people inside the building were complaining of burning eyes, scratchy throats and coughs," Matlow said.

Once the office workers were in the open air, they began to feel better. They were all evaluated by paramedics and advised to seek medical attention but none chose to do so, Matlow said.
The building was searched by a hazmat crew who found nothing to indicate what the problem might have been.
This is the second time that a hazmat incident has occurred at the same address.
"This building had a very similar episode six months to a year ago but we're not sure what's causing it," Matlow said.
