Hayward Girl Arrested For Giving Pot-Laced Brownies To High School Classmates

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- A 16-year-old Hayward girl was arrested for allegedly giving weed-laced brownies to five of her fellow Hayward High School students on Wednesday morning, police said.

At about 9 a.m. five students at the high school became ill after allegedly ingesting brownies suspected of being laced with marijuana, according to police.

Medical personnel and police responded to the school and determined that a student had supplied the five students with the brownies on their way to school earlier that morning, police said.

The students who ingested the brownies received medical attention and were released into the care of their parents, according to Hayward police.

The girl who allegedly furnished the brownies to the other students was arrested by the school resource officer, police said.
