Hayward Credit Union Robbed

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- Hayward police are looking for a man who robbed a credit union on Monday afternoon.

The robber demanded money from a teller at the Bay Cities Credit Union at 22777 Main St. at about 1:30 p.m.

After he got the cash, he ran from the bank and was last seen in the area of Mission Boulevard and C Street, police said.

Police did not say if he was armed.

He is described as a white man in his late 30s or early 40s, standing 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build and a short military-style haircut.

During the robbery, he was wearing black-rimmed glasses, a yellow blazer, light-colored pants and gray Puma sneakers with orange soles, police said.

The FBI is assisting Hayward police in the investigation. Anyone with information about the robbery has been asked to call Hayward police at (510) 293-7000.
