Hawaiian Airlines Adds New Nonstop Flights To Maui From San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/AP) - Hawaiian Airlines is announcing new nonstop flights between San Francisco and Kahului, Maui.

The airline says the service will begin Nov. 20 with flights four times a week before moving into daily service beginning Dec. 17.

Hawaiian says the new route will add more than 210,000 seats to both the San Francisco and Maui travel markets per year.

Airline Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Peter Ingram says the flights will offer Hawaii residents another way to travel to the Bay Area and Northern California residents another reason to visit the Hawaiian islands.

The airline earlier this year restored its San Jose-Honolulu service and offered new seasonal nonstop flights from Oakland to Kona and Lihue.
