Hackers Break Into Comcast E-Mail Servers

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Some Comcast e-mail users are seeing the apparent aftermath of a reported hacking incident that resulted in dozens of the broadband giants's e-mail servers being compromised.

Comcast has said little about the incident in which an organization called NullCrew FTS claimed to have access 34 Comcast e-mail servers. But at least one Bay Area customer found hundreds of e-mail messages in his inbox this morning. They showed that his e-mail address had been used to sign up for numerous e-mail lists.

KCBS technology analyst says Comcast customers should immediately change their e-mail passwords and make sure they're not using that same password for other online accounts. He spoke with KCBS morning anchors Stan Bunger and Susan Leigh Taylor.
