Survey: Guys Who Mention Shakespeare Get More Dates Online

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- 'Single man loves dogs, cooking, long walks on the beach and Shakespeare.'

To a lot of women, the best thing about him is the last quality on the list. Apparently mentioning Shakespeare makes men more attractive in the cyberworld.

The online dating site Match.com surveyed their database and found men who talk about Shakespeare in their profiles have the most dating success.

In fact, they found guys who refer the Bard in their profiles increase their chance of a female response by 27%. Nearly a third of the women on the site consider themselves "literary."

The survey was done to mark the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare. Overall, the city with men who mention him most is Kalamazoo, Michigan.

San Francisco didn't make the Shakespearean list, but according to Match, it ranks fifth on their list of most literary cities.
