Group Fight At Downtown BART Station Caused Major Delays

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A fight or disturbance between six or seven people at a San Francisco BART station was the reason for major delays in part of the system Sunday night, a BART police officer said.

The first report of the incident came in 10:51 p.m. from Civic Center Station, BART police Lt. R. Gregson said.

BART officials said there were major delays at San Francisco stations in the San Francisco International Airport, Millbrae, Daly City and East Bay directions.

Gregson said police arrested one person for public drunkenness and resisting arrest.

Gregson said a knife may have been involved in the disturbance, but no one was stabbed.
