Grass fire burns 4 acres in American Canyon Sunday evening

AMERICAN CANYON -- The America Fire burning in southeast Napa County on Sunday night was 75% contained at about 3.72 acres, Cal Fire said.

American Canyon Road reopened between Interstate 80 and Flosden Road as crews battled the grass fire in American Canyon, according to Cal Fire.

Forward progress of the fire has been halted and one outbuilding was damaged.

The blaze was first reported around 6 p.m. near American Canyon Road between Interstate 80 and Flosden Road.
